Today I got my 200th follower and I can't tell you how good that makes me feel. I wanted to thank each and every one of you who reads Tales Of A Retro Modern Housewife, and a special thanks to those of you that comment.
I started this blog as a lark- a way to kill some time. I had just gone from owning my own company to being a stay at home mother, and I needed something that was 'my own'. Something that would help me stay creative and in touch with people who were as interested in fashion and cooking as I am.
Well, I have found 200 like-minded friends, and for that I will be forever grateful.
I love to run to the computer each morning to see how many of my overseas friends have posted, and then I refresh the comments at least 4-5 times a day! (ok, it is really 6-10 times. I am such a dork!). It really keeps me going throughout out the day. And as I am running the kids around or doing errands, I am often thinking of things to share with you all.
You have all inspired me to be a better, more creative dresser, a better, more creative cook, and a better, more creative mom.

I have some big ideas for Tales Of A Retro Modern Housewife in the future, things that might start happening after the winter holidays. Until then I am doing my best to continue to bring you inspiring posts regarding fashion- especially vintage, food- especially easy recipes for your family, and interior design inspiration.
I am also thinking of adding some more parenting posts. I know many of you are parents and I think it would be wonderful if we shared some of our parenting trials and tribulations. But for those of you swinging single gals- don't worry! It won't turn into just a 'mommy blog'! I will always love fashion and that is my number one focus on this blog.
So thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, for being so loyal and wonderful and for taking a small amount of time out of your day to read Tales Of A Retro Modern Housewife.

What's especially nice about you is that you appreciate your followers even with 200! Oh, and please know that there are some older gals waaaay past the child-bearing age who find your blog interesting as well (although I'll probably speed-read through any parenting posts!).
