Years ago I saw this dress on Dita Von Teese and became obsessed with it. You might remember I did this post about it. I tried to find something similar, but came up empty handed. Cut to the last few weeks and I have been seeing this type of fabric everywhere! So I did a little collage to show you my findings:
The dress in the middle can be preordered here. It is by Bernie Dexter, a famous pin-up model. She seems to have really caught on to this trend and there are quite a few pastoral options on her website. As for the skirt on the lower left, I found it on Etsy and immediately bought it! Yay! It is the closest I have come to finding something like the Dita dress. Now I just need to loose a few pounds so I can wear it!
I also found this excellent tutorial on Scathingly Brilliant. Maybe I will try my hand at creating my own landscape dress!
So what do you dolls think? Is this a trend you have seen as well? Is it something you like, or will you give it a pass?
I am OBSESSED with landscape prints and will acquire anything with it on! I also had that skirt you bought on my favourites list for 2 days....it was *so* going to be mine.....if I only could have FIT into it!!! I have 4 landscape Bernie Dexters dresses and just bought another in the Koi fish print. Keep us up to date on what else you buy!
