  1. This video is great! Thank you. My hair is as long as yours so this gives me something to do with my hair besides pigtails. Whenever I wear victory rolls I've had to wear the rest of my hair in a small ponytail since there's not much I can do with my short hair.

    1. Thanks! I have yet to perfect victory rolls. I swear I have tried them at least 30 times and failed! LOL!. One of these days I will get it.

  2. Loved it! I do a similar faux 40's style pretty often-I also can't get victory rolls down for the life of me! I generally curl the bottom of my hair with a curling iron after I do the top, but the curls just don't stay well in my hair. Doing a french twist on the bottom never occurred to me, thanks so much I will definitely try that next time! :)

  3. I love this video! I was needing some encouragement as far as looking nicer and your video perked me up! I have hair to the middle of my back (hubby does not want it any shorter) and have been experimenting with pin curls. One of my grandmothers had hair as long as mine in the 50's and instructed me that it must be kept in overnight or it will not stay for the next day. It is not perfected yet...but I like the challenge!

I love your blog and am a new follower. Thank you so much for all of these great tips, keep them coming!

    1. Welcome to The Glamorous Housewife! So glad you found it. I have done pin curls a few times, but even though my hair is quite thin, it didn't really dry overnight, so the curl fell out. I had a better result using rag curls, but I have yet to perfect it without many dents in the curls. Thanks doll!

  4. Yet another FABULOUS video... thank-you!!! Could listen to you for hours... all this wonderful girl talk about hair! And this one is so timely as I have been wanting to try something different with my hair (and generally feel overwhelmed). Looks like all I need is a bit of time to play, bobbypins & a couple sprays. Fun fun. Thanks again.

  6. I really enjoyed your tutorial! The third one is really pretty! Well, they all are, but I love the style of the third one. My hair is really long, so I will have to play around with that one and see if I can roll some pieces up in the back like you did. It's something I have tried a few times and it's not been just right, so maybe if I section my hair for working with it will turn out better.

    xoxo
